Travel/visa/Accommodation
1. Do I need a visa to visit Australia?
All participants are responsible for obtaining the correct visa before travelling. Most will be eligible for a visitor visa (such as the Business Visitor stream or eVisitor). Use theAustralian Government Visa Finder to confirm the right option for your circumstances.
Apply as early as possible and ideally no later than 2–3 months before travel.
2. Do I need a formal invitation letter for the visa application?
No. In most cases, the email you received accepting your paper and registration confirmation/tax invoice are sufficient documentation — a formal invitation letter is not usually required.
Conference organisers are unable to provide any further immigration advice.
